The Haven Ledford Project (THLP): 20% of the proceeds from Icons in Ash portraits will be donated to charities
Last year, @maganroper got in touch with me, saying: “I’d like to find out about pricing to get my 13-year-old daughter’s portrait done from her ashes… She has been fighting Leukemia since she was 8 years old and her battle is coming to an end… They have given her about a month, and I hate the idea of putting her in a box on a shelf… she is too sassy and full of life for that.”
I learned what a wonderful child Haven was, and what touched me most was her deep compassion. She was all about helping others, and in her honor I have created: THE HAVEN LEDFORD PROJECT (THLP). From now on, 20% of the proceeds from ICONS IN ASH portraits will be donated to charities supporting pediatric cancer research and end-of-life care (or others if that is the wish of the buyer of a portrait).

I made the two portraits of Haven above, and her mother wrote to me: “The portraits are absolutely beautiful… I can most definitely feel her presence when I look at them – they’re so life-like… I talk to her every day and I love being able to stare into her beautiful eyes…” Thank you, stay safe, and with my best wishes to all of you, Heide
